Today started well with the freezer seal breaking. I have always wanted to wake up to a puddle of water in the kitchen and soggy Yorkshire puddings from Aunt Bessie's. Luckily the bf has a great gaming chair, which has no real use, than to be a new freezer locking devise. Apparently it provides comfort when playing Grand Theft Auto, personally the colour is awful and the wood is not shabby chic so I think this was instant problem solving by me.
I then boarded a train to London, where I mastered the art of perfect volume on the headphones minimising the standard "your music is far too loud" look. We have all had them from those individuals who hate life, and clearly any social interaction.
Personally I vote we should all channel our inner youth and sing on trains. I personally think I sing "Shake it off" particularly well. Some might say I am Taylor Swift.
A quick walk up Oxford Street and I was in Soho at The GHD Studios. I arrived at reception in my normal awkward fashion and explained why I was there. Queue awkward joke how I wasn't a model and queue their awkward face look. Personally, I think it highlighted the confusion that I was infact modelesque looking ... easy mistake.
The day had started with a briefing before I got there, and The Team were presenting their looks and ideas for the shoot. I arrived just as the models were due to be arriving, but I did get there just in time for lunch. Standard.
The models were beautiful. I mean I know that is obvious, but seriously these girls had it. The sort of had it that I have never had.
It was amazing seeing the four of them enthusiastically share their ideas, and see the inspiration they so obviously have.
The F.A.M.E. Team are one of The Fellowship projects and because of their selection and expertise they are given amazing opportunities such as this, as well as mentoring with top professionals
After three hours of portfolios, photos and some toned bodies the models stopped coming and the selection began.
The calibre was amazing and The Team struggled to pick their final four. I struggled myself and it's not my shoot.
GHD led the way in closing the day by taking the 8 favourites to present to the amazing photographer they have working alongside them.
Watch this space. These guys are amazing and I can't wait to be back at GHD in just over a week for the actual shoot.
