A Touch of Pink

Who hasn't heard about BLEACH Londons range in Boots?

It is hard not to have heard about the products that are allowing us to get involved in the hair trend without regular trips to the salon. I wasn't convinced if I am honest (and lets be fair I love being honest) however 3 for 2 does wonders for making me spend money. 2 bottles of Rose 'Super Cool Colour', 2 bottles of Rose shampoo and 2 bottles of Rose conditioners later I was fully prepared for a touch of pink on my blonde locks. Unfortunately this offer isn't on anymore but if you buy online and spend over £15 you do get 10% off with the code HAIR10

Before we continue the base colour is bleach with a high lift tint on my roots (approximately 2 inches wide)

What did I think?
1. The product
I did like the product itself and leaving it on for 15 minutes was much more manageable than the 30 minutes I was having to do for Crazy Colour. The 'Super Cool Colour' created a beautiful pink that I was really happy with although do be aware on my length hair - which is also fairly fine- I was using half a bottle so it doesn't go along way. I wasn't overly impressed with the shampoo and conditioner and didn't feel it make much of a difference in maintaining the colour. I also didn't feel it really shampooed or conditioned my hair

2. The price
At £5 a bottle it isn't hugely expensive, however compare that to how much you normally spend on shampoo and conditioner and it might be slightly more. I found I was shampooing my hair with my normal shampoo and then using the BLEACH London one after for a hint of colour and to maintain the 'Super Cool Colour' for longer than a day. I also started using a different conditioner as well as I don't feel this one caters for the amount of condition my blonde processed hair needs. My top tip: if it is 3 for 2 and you want to use this colour and use the offer buy 3 of the 'Super Cool Colour' and use your own Shampoo and Conditioner. If you do want the full set you can buy if for £16 from Boots online

3. How long does it last
The pink fades pretty quickly. From the first wash it disappears to a slight trace within the hair and if I am honest I wouldn't have the patience to keep it up every few days. Great for special occasions though as I got loads of compliments! The picture below shows the shade next to another pink tone so you can see the colour you could expect

4. Be careful
Effectively this is a colour so it can stain. I left a nice pink stain on my bathroom tiles where I had my head rested in the bath, and my towels had a beautiful hint of blush. Don't panic it comes off really easily but do be aware if you are messy

I definitely would recommend the product as I love the colour of the Rose and I definitely got loads of compliments. The trend is more about khaki blues and greens at the moment so it was nice to be able to showcase something different. The great thing about staying away from those tones is that you never have the worry if it lasting that little bit too long in your hair. I don't think I would buy it unless it was in an offer as it really is temporary and with using half a bottle it would cost me a small fortune!
